WHEN MA AND PA ARE AWAY…
After 37 years in the business, we find it necessary to take a few days off now and then.
(Isn’t that why we work hard our whole life, anyway?)
During those days the showroom is in very good hands, Edith Crighton! She is a real pleasure to converse with and I never get tired of her stories and adventures.
First off, she is highly qualified to help you find the right carpet; when it comes to colors and textures she’s the best. She has been an ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) for over 30 years.
She has a Master’s degree in Interior Design from Seattle Pacific University and has taught Art/Interior Design at several local colleges. She also is responsible for the interior design in dozens of local banks.
She was the first female to receive a scholarship at Cornish, she has attended workshops with notable artists such as William Reese and Georgia O’Keefe, and has won many awards in competitions in Colorado and Washington.
Over the years, Edith has had many varied jobs. She had her own television show, ran a bed and breakfast for coal miners, and owned a rock quarry business, just to name a few.
Edith was also in the flooring business for several years. She was a sales representative for a major floor covering manufacturer.
Don’t even get me started on all the well-known personalities she knows!
If I’m out of town and you come to the showroom you ARE in good hands.
P.S. Come see Edith at the Greenwood-Phinney Art Walk (at our showroom) on the second Friday of each month!
Some of her paintings are in this blog.
